Belmont Elementary: A PAWSitive Place to Learn!
May 6, 2016
PTO Leadership Opportunities Are Available for 2016-2017- & support team opportunities, too!
At the last PTO meeting of the 15-16 school year, we were pleased to have many parents step up to take on leadership roles for the 16-17 school year. Sweet! There are a few leadership positions for which we are seeking skilled (some more technically skilled than others) and willing parents to volunteer their time and energy. For most, if not all, of our positions, we're seeking co-chairs in order to share the load. Please contact email@example.com if you are interested in serving in any of the positions below!
Treasurer/Co-Treasurer: We are seeking two individuals with accounting/tax/501(3)c experience. Our accounts are not difficult, but we're proud of our reputation for doing it well. Our current awesome treasurer will provide transition assistance.
Book Fair Team: We are seeking two-three individuals to handle all aspects of the fall and spring Scholastic Book Fairs. Our current awesome chair will provide transition assistance. This is a truly fun experience that could be shared by a team. Kinda like a book club! Our school benefits so much from all that the book fair entails. Thank you!
Student Directory: We are seeking one or two individuals to compile the student directory- following all applicable laws and policies - and publish at least three times per year (in order to allow for students moving in after the beginning of the year.) Our current awesome student directory chair will provide transition assistance.
Marquee: We are seeking at least one individual to change out the marquee about once a month. Info and supplies provided! Nice weather most of the year!
Bulldog Dash Team Members: We are excited to introduce our one big event fundraiser completely organized by our PTO....it's the Bulldog Dash!! The Bulldog Dash will be held on Friday, September 2nd during the school day. Planning is already well underway, but more team members are welcome- it's going to be a big job. Although there will always be some traditional family fun nights and service opportunities through which we may incidentally earn a small monetary benefit, this will be the one time all year that we'll shamelessly ask for money to fund the PTO budget and support all students and staff at Belmont - that's Early Childhood - 5th grade. It's going to be BIG! It's going to be a blast! Join the team!
Have questions? Just email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Early Childhood Field Days are both a.m. and p.m. on Wednesday, May 18th. Kindergarten-5th grade Field Day is Friday, May 20th. Adult & High School Volunteers Welcome!
