Grandparents Day at Mott - September 10 - New Information - Please Read!
- If you have previously had your driver's license scanned into the visitor system, you may fill out this form and have your visitor badge waiting for you in the front foyer. Badge You may access this form until 10:00 p.m. Sunday night, but it will be disabled after that time.
- You may enter at the front or the rear of the building. Pre-printed badges will be in the front of the school only, but we will have student couriers who will deliver pre-printed badges to the back of the school if that is where you enter.
- You may purchase a cafeteria lunch or bring your own lunch.
- Upon arrival, please go to the cafeteria and find a place to sit. The teachers will bring the class to the cafeteria. Wave to your grandchild and he or she will come over to you. The students who do not have grandparents visiting will go back to the classroom to eat with their teacher.

- If you need to scan your driver's license to get a visitor badge, please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before your grandchild's lunch time.
- We invite you to visit the Book Fair in the library after lunch!
The Enchanted Book Fair is Coming!!
Mark your calendars to visit the Enchanted Book Fair in the library during the week on Sept 10 - 14!
If you would like to send money with your child, please write Book Fair on the envelope. There will be volunteers to help the students! Just remember that tax will be added to every purchase. You can also shop online to support our school beginning Sept. 2 thru Sept. 16 by clicking
here-> Mott Scholastic Book FairThe Meltdown comes out on October 30 and we are pre-selling them now thru the Scholastic Book Fair! They will be delivered to Mott on the 30 and distributed!

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students)
Attend the Kick Off Party on September 18 at 6:00 to find out more about this new initiative at Mott, and how to become part of this group. You do not have to be the father of a Mott student to participate. Uncles, Grandfathers, Family Friends, Volunteers, etc. are welcome!
Gardening Club
Mott has a Gardening Club that meets once a week. Sustainable Food Center donates soil, fall/winter plants, and seeds, and will be having their fall giveaway on Thursday, September 27. In the meantime, we need to get the garden ready. Here is the upcoming schedule and tasks.
- September 13 - clean up/remove weeds and dried out plants.
- September 20 - till the soil and start seeds in containers.
- September 27 - add new soil and plant our donated plants.
If you are interested in joining, or having your child join, our gardening club this year, please email Mrs. Guevara at lluvia.guevara@pfisd.net Please include the following: child's name, parent's name and phone number, pick up information. Remember pick up is at 3:30. Students will meet Mrs. Guevara by the rotunda right after dismissal and head over to our garden.
