Key Vocabulary

Circuit- a complete path that an electric current travels on.


Closed Circuit- a complete circuit that allows the flow of electricity to go through it.


Open Circuit- a circuit that is not complete; therefore, no current can flow through it.


Conductive- material that allows electricity to move through it. Some examples are metals, water, graphite, etc.


Non-conductive- material that does not allow electricity to go through it. Some examples are paper, glass, rubber, ceramic, etc.
