Students will be developing their IB core and addressing the key IB areas of communication, holistic learning and intercultural awareness. The Outward Bound Centre in Loch Eil, Scotland, was founded by Kurt Hahn one of the original founders of the IB. Hahn's main educational philosophies were based around the individual as a learner and the development of their civic responsibilities; he wanted active individuals “who felt responsible for the welfare and progress of society” (Knoll, 2011). As such our trip will concentrate on developing areas of the IB Learner Profile. The students will get to grips with the environment around them and participate in a range of challenging activities such as hiking, rock climbing, kayaking and environmental work.

Please could Kit, Nathan, Kieran, and Eric (G9) go to the office as soon as you have eaten lunch and collect the following macbooks from the office :

no.8, no.7, no.2 and no.1 and set them up in the installation ready to go, making sure that your pieces are in working order. All the leads and plugs are still in there for you. The installation needs to be re-opened in time for the parents to view when they come to graduation today at 2.00pm.

If you have any queries, please speak to Mrs. Jones.
