Parent/Teacher Conference Week - 11/15 - 11/19
Beginning at 12:00 am Friday, November 5, 2021 to 11:59 pm on Thursday, November 11, 2021. You will have the opportunity to access the conference schedule of your child’s teacher and pick an available time that best fits your schedule.
Step-By-Step Parent/Guardian Instructions
Go to the Online Scheduler HERE.
Choose your student’s school from the drop-down list and click “GO.”
Enter the school password (sharks).
Enter your student’s “Student ID”. If you cannot remember their Student ID, use the LOOKUP STUDENT ID button to access the system.
Verify the student’s birth date.
A list of your student’s teachers will be displayed. Check the box next to the name of each teacher(s) you would like to meet with.
If you have more than one student in the school you can see all of your teacher’s schedules at one time by answering YES to this question “Do you want to schedule conferences for another student?” then repeat the steps above for your other students. If you only have one student, answer NO to that question.
You will then see the available time slots for each teacher you selected.
Select the times that work best for your schedule.
Enter your email address (recommended) if you would like an email reminder sent to you. (Your email address is kept private.)
Once you finish you can confirm your appointment details and print your conference schedule.
Write down the Confirmation Number (you will need this number to cancel your appointment).
Spanish Program Update
We are sadly preparing ourselves for Profesora Celina's last couple of months at Sierra before she starts student teaching at Sierra! We know you join us in thanking her for her incredible contributions to our school, your children's Spanish experience, and wishing her the best on her next endeavor.
Fortunately, she will be here at Sierra until winter break in December. We will be searching for her our next Spanish instructor in the meantime. The position will be posted here in the next week or so - https://www.edjoin.org/ - if you know of anyone who might be interested in applying. Interested folks may also email Principal Westberg at awestberg@rocklinusd.org for more information.
Message from Rocklin Unified School District
As you may be aware, AB 130 ensured all students, regardless of eligibility for the Free/Reduced Price Meal Program (FRPM), would receive free meals. This program has increased access to food for students throughout the State; however, it has had an impact on the number of families who completed the income form.
The percentage of students with qualifying incomes, as determined by the annual income form (previously FRPM application), is one of the indicators used to determine the District’s unduplicated student count. Subsequently, this percentage of qualifying students is used as a factor in determining multiple sources of revenue, including State supplemental funding and Federal Title Programs. The percentage of qualifying students was also used when determining some of the Covid-relief funds.
This communication will detail the number of programs funded with supplemental funds, in an effort to increase awareness and increase the number of families completing the form.
We are hoping this will create a surge of income form applications.
Information detailing the communication that will be shared with families can be found in the links included below:
- Email regarding Education Benefits Income Form
- Infographic for distribution via email and District social media channels
