Kindergarten Open House, January 22

On January 23, we'll welcome soon-to-be kindergarten parents to this year's Kindergarten Open House. From 9:00-10:15 AM, parents will have an opportunity to hear from Centia Batz, our Governance Council Facilitator, myself and our students during a meeting and school tour. Student tour guides in grades 4-5-6 will meet to prepare during at recesses this week. Each of the CUSD Kindergarten Open House dates are posted on the CUSD website along with detail about Transitional Kindergarten. If you know someone with a child born on or before September 1, 2015, encourage them to attend.

Understanding Conflict at School

On the evening of Wednesday, January 22, we'll offer a parent information night focused on understanding peer conflicts at school. Staff will share our school's language for conflict, describe types of bullying and common conflicts at various ages, and discuss how we can work together to support students. Please RSVP to Tina in the school office and join us in the MPR at 6:00 PM.
