Education and the Brain
What is Neuroscience?
Neuroscience is not really a learning theory. It's a branch of scientific study that deals with the structure and function of the brain and the nervous system.
How does the brain learn?
Neurons
Process and transmit new information making connections after encountering new experiences.
Synapses
Neurons send out branches(synapses) to other neurons to build the structure of the brain.
Structure
These connections are always being made and strengthen with use. Conversely if the connections aren't used they weaken.
