Family Choice: In-Person Session on October 17 or Virtual Zoom Meetings
We understand choosing to attend an in-person session is a family choice. For that reason, this session is VOLUNTARY. For the month of October, your family can choose to join this October 17 In-Person Session OR the virtual Monthly Zoom Meeting that your family regularly attends online. The family activities that will be offered at the In-Person Session will be the same theme as activities taught during the virtual Monthly Zoom Meeting.
Structure of this In-Person Family Faith Event
This In-Person Session will be set up similar to a fair atmosphere (not a formal class). On the lawn outside the office of Holy Family Parish, different tables with activities will be set up for families to learn and enjoy. Come together with your children anytime between 1:00PM-2:00PM.
This is a FAMILY Faith Event
This In-Person Session is a FAMILY event. Please come with your family. Parents, do not drop off or allow children to attend this event alone.
We look forward to seeing your family on Sunday, October 17!
Can't Attend our In-Person Session? Join our September Virtual Zoom Meeting!
Our October Family Faith Zoom Meetings begin the week of Sunday, October 17. Together with your children, please join the zoom session with your camera on for the class that you are registered. This month, we will share fun family activities focused on instruction and learning of the Holy Rosary. These activities are consistent with our In-Person Session activities.

Mass Readings for Sunday, October 17: Twenty-Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time
In this weekend's Gospel, Mark tells the story of Jesus explaining to His disciples that true love is in the act of serving others, not to be served.
James and John, followers and close friends of Jesus, ask Him how they can best serve Jesus and ultimately "sit on your at your right and the other at your left." The brothers do not know the suffering and death Jesus will endure. Imagine how Jesus feels, as he listens to the request from the two brothers? The brothers seem to be ready to accept all that Jesus accepts, but they do not know the cruelty and difficulties Jesus will soon endure in his death.
Jesus teaches them that although tyrants operate out of the same kind of ambition as James and John, the disciples must resist. The request of the apostles brings to light our natural desires to be approved of and rewarded in worldly terms. Jesus tells us his meaning of real greatness is the service and the care of others. Recognizing that Jesus is our servant is what helps us to be servants to others.
Activities for Family
Rosary Crafts for Children
This month, we celebrate the Month of the Holy Rosary. To help children understand the significance of the rosary and prayers, we can best explain this through showing the parts of the rosary.
This week, have your child draw or create a rosary with pencil, paper, markers, or craft materials! During our In-Person Session, families will receive a bag of supplies where children can create their own rosary. Or, children can you use the pictures below to help model the rosary and the number of beads around the rosary. Use the rosaries created to teach your children these prayers, and practice saying the rosary together.
Send us pictures of your family and their rosary crafts!

Dad - Her BIGGEST Fan!
This Virginia father is probably his daughter's biggest fan! From this video, you can see he's been practicing ALL the moves!
As his daughter entered the field with her high school cheer squad, this Dad (also a US Air Force Veteran!!) joined in and perfectly mimicked their moves from the crowd. #cheerdad
