Volunteers Needed
Mentathlon
What is Mentathlon?
A problem solving program for NISD 7th grade ALPHA students
The Northside Independent School District ALPHA program needs volunteers to make this event a success. Volunteers work with teams of about six students in various activities involving music, science, math, language arts, social studies, logic/brain games, games, and creative design. Once one of your six students completes a task, you determine the points earned (using the guidelines in your packet), award the colored ticket, and the student leaves.
Mentathlon will be held at Paul Taylor Field House on Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th. Orientation begins at 8:00 AM and the event ends at 2:30 PM. You can choose to volunteer one day or both days.
If you are interested in volunteering please complete the form below and follow the link to the NISD backgroud check. Our ALPHA students appreciate your assistance in making Mentathlon an interesting, challenging, and enjoyable experience for both you and them. We, the ALPHA teachers, appreciate your help even moreā¦.
Thank you.
