🎓 Middle School Spotlight 📒

🍎 Cafeteria & Lunch Procedures 🍗

- Students are to line up in line order in their classrooms and walk to the cafeteria with their teacher.
- Students should sit only on stools and bench area marked with blue tape for additional spacing between each student.
Teachers remain with students at lunch for at least 5 minutes.
Each class is assigned two tables to eat at daily. Some tables will be moved outside the cafeteria for less crowding in the cafeteria.
Teachers will walk their students to the lunch line, supervise them as they get their lunch, escort them to their assigned lunch table, and monitor them as they begin to eat lunch. All teachers are provided a 30 minute duty free lunch, per OEA contract. Teachers are not required to eat with their classes; yet many teachers choose to do so in order to establish an orderly climate in the cafeteria.
Students must remain seated at their table until given instructions to recycle and line up for restroom and/or outdoor play. Student noise level will be monitored by the supervising staff and may range from 0 talk to quiet voices.
For more information, refer to pages 56-57 of the Staff Handbook.
