Douglas Tilden was a famous sculptor creating pieces such as: The Tired Boxer, The Bear Hunt and Mechanics Monument


He became deaf at the age of 4 after a severe case of scarlet fever


Douglas Tilden was a well known sculptor and a advocate for the deaf community, He became the a vice president for the World Federation of the Deaf and the President for the California Association of the Deaf
