Principal's Message:
Dear Trailblazer Families,
This week has been an AMAZING week at TTES! It has been exciting to see our Trailblazers on-campus and those continuing to learn with us daily virtually. Thank you families for helping us transition back to school.
Here are a few reminders for a great transition back to on campus instruction ---after a 2 week Spring Break:
- Remember to wear your mask-this includes parents and students waiting outside the school gates
- Be sure to plug in your device tonight so you come to school with a fully charged iPad.
- Bring a water bottle with your name on it.
- TK and Kinder-be sure to line up on your Kinder Color line outside the gate
- All students will need their language arts and math books/math worksheets (Kinder, 1st, 2nd grade)
Sincerely,
JoeAnna Hernandez~Principal
Students Use School Issued iPads on Campus
Please disregard if your student is remaining online or if you already have a TVUSD issued iPad. For those students that do not have a TVUSD iPad and are using their privately owned device at home, your child will need to have a TVUSD iPad assigned to them when they return to campus. Their personal devices DO NOT work on our Wi-Fi system so please keep them at home.
It is imperative that you complete the user/liability agreement form on the TVUSD website. Here is the LINK.
iPad device insurance is available up to the 1st week after a device has been checked out. If you are interested in purchasing the optional insurance, our Librarian, Mrs. Kennedy is collecting the $20 payment. Please email her directly at kkennedy@tvusd.us to arrange payment.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
If your child will be checking out a school issued iPad for the first time, please click on the link below for the necessary information and forms to complete.
Reopening Video & Foot Traffic Patterns
If you haven't done so already, please be sure to view our REOPENING VIDEO and FOOT TRAFFIC PATTERNS MAP so you are ready for returning to campus on Tuesday.
~Arrival & Dismissal Routines & Reminders~
Crosswalk~
If parking in the parking lot and crossing over to the school please utilize the crosswalk at all times. Students will not be allowed to cross into the parking lot without a parent waiting at the other end of the crosswalk. Students are not allowed to navigate through the parking lot without an adult. Please do not cross thru cars and the front loop from any part of the school drop off loop unless utilizing the crosswalk. It is important that adults are modeling safe behavior for students and supporting the school protocols.
Picking up from the Car Loop~
The car loop is a moving lane. Please pull all the way forward in the loop until cars stop. At that time, students may unload and load into cars. At pick-up please encourage your child to watch for their car. It's important that they know who is picking them up. At pick-up students are to walk to the curb with the foot traffic pattern that matches their gate foot traffic pattern. This will allow you to always see your child at the curb in the same general area. Siblings are to wait with the youngest sibling. Staff will have students follow the car until traffic stops and at the time students may load cars. To keep students safe, TTES Staff will assist with the crosswalk and pulling cars forward to fill the loop so cars can unload and repeat the process allowing traffic to move in and out of the front loop in a timely manner.

Preparing to Learn at School:
Keep in mind that while our students are excited to be back at school with their teachers and classmates it can also be a very overwhelming feeling that causes nervousness, anxiety, butterfly tummies, etc. It's important to plan ahead with time in your schedule prior to arriving at school for how to prepare for school. Often students may need a pep talk to help get them ready for the school day and being on campus and work through the anxious feelings prior to arriving to school and that is okay. Students haven't been on-campus for a year and it still takes some getting use too.
