WELCOME - CAROLYN LAZARUS - School Psychologist

Please welcome to the Howbert Elementary staff Ms. Carolyn Lazarus! Carolyn will be our full-time school psychologist beginning next school year.

Carolyn has worked across District 11 this past year as an intern.

We are very excited about the support she will be able to provide students at Howbert.

Please welcome to the Howbert Elementary staff Ms. Jessica Boon! Jessica is moving from North Caroline where she is a school counselor and she will begin working full-time next school year at Howbert.

Jessica will definitely bring with her great expertise and another very important staff member that students can count on.

At the May 11th school board meeting, Howbert Elementary was officially approved as an outdoor and environmental education pathway school in District 11 by the Board of Education.

Next year will be a year of planning and moving forward.

Great outdoor learning for students is in our future!

YMCA has shared with us that they will be offering an after school care program at Howbert for the 2022-2023 school year. They will also consider a before care program if there is enough interest.

If you would be interested in Howbert Elementary hosting a before and after school care through the YMCA, please complete the short form linked below.

Please claim your lost & found items by the last school day. 5/20. We will donate any remaining lost & found items after that date. We will move items outside the front of the school next week so it will be easier to find your things. Thank you!
