The book
The perks of being a wallflower is a 90's drama written by Stephen Chbosky, in which shows some letters written by a shy boy called Charlie.
In these letters, Charlie talks about his freshman year, his family problems and his mental issues. He likes to read and because of his aunt Helen, he wants to be a writer. Most part of Charlie's mental issues were caused by his aunt , who died in a car accident when she was going to buy his birthday present. Charlie's sister is a senior girl who loves nature and his brother plays football in the university. Through the year, Charlie makes new friends, Sam and Patrick, which are seniors. His new friends help him to get over of his mental issues and take him to parties and fast-food restaurants.
The movie
Considered by the fact that the movie was directed by the book's author, in my opinion, the movie was missing some good scenes that made me enjoy the book but it was good and showed loyalty for the story.
