- Afterschool Enrichment Programs: Eagle Warriors, please visit Robert Rodriguez, our Director of After School STEAM Enrichment in room 106 for additional information regarding our after-school programming. Students have the opportunity to:
- Receive free tutoring on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays: from 3:45pm-4:45pm
- Participate in Robotics Competition
- Learn American Sign Language every Monday from 4:15pm-5:15pm
- Learn Photography Skills every Monday & Wednesday 3pm-5pm
- Scholarship Announcement- Class of 2023: The LEAF College Success Program is now accepting applications from Seniors from Latino College Preparatory Academy, Luis Valdez Leadership Academy, and Roberto Cruz Leadership Academy. - Student ID Cards: Students are required to use their ID cards for the following school-related services/events:
- Safety purposes to ensure you are an LCPA student on our campus
- Check out a Chromebook loaner with a charger
- Attendance purposes when receiving a tardy pass
- Food Services during brunch and lunch
- Attending school-sponsored activities or events such as school dances, musicals, athletic events, etc.
- Academic Exams such as MAP, SBAC, SAT, etc.
- Game equipment check out
- Professional Dress Mondays- We look forward to seeing all our students dressed professionally every Monday.
- Uniforms: Please respect our uniform policy. Black bottoms, and black or white polo or a sweatshirt promoting higher education.
- Starbucks (Food & Drinks): Students please complete all food and beverages before school. Food and beverage (especially Starbucks) will not be permitted in the school or classroom.
- Door Dash, Uber Eats, and Grub Hub will all be turned away. Parents may deliver food directly to the main office for their child only.
- Parking Permits: Seniors are now expected to display their parking permit applications while parking on campus.
- Our school sites continue to be committed to safety, health, and access to resources for students and their families. - HSF Scholars are a part of an unrivaled group of 25,000+ Scholars from 50 states, and more than 1,200 institutions, who make up the current HSF Scholar network
- HSF Scholars have access to a network of over 65,000 HSF Alumni. HSF Alumni are leaders in their professions, communities, and the nation; many now serve as HSF mentors, career coaches, and volunteers

Eligibility:
- Must be of Hispanic heritage
- U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
- Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the U.S., for the 2023-2024 academic year
- Submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable)
About HSF:
HSF empowers families with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete a higher education, while providing scholarships and support services to as many exceptional students as possible.
Founded in 1975, HSF has awarded over $708 million in scholarships. HSF Scholars have access to valuable Scholar Support Services and, as funding permits, scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000.
Additional Important information:
- It takes an average of 30 minutes for students to complete Phase I of the 2023 HSF Scholar Program Application
- No essays, recommendations, or document uploads are required in Phase I
- To get started, visit HSF.net and log into or create your myHSF profile to access the HSF Scholar Program Application
HSF Scholar Application Timeline:
- January – Phase I of the HSF Scholar Program application opened January 1 and closes February 15, 2023, 5:00 PM PT
- Late February– Applicants are evaluated and the most competitive are selected as Finalists
- March – Finalists are also announced and asked to submit essays, recommendations, transcripts, FAFSA, and other related documents
- June – HSF Scholars are announced (including students waitlisted for the HSF Scholar designation)
- June to December – Final Document Verification (financial aid award letter, enrollment verification, and related documents)
- December – 10,000 HSF Scholars are confirmed after the verification process is complete

The Peninsula College Fund Scholarship is now open and will provide 20 scholarship awards to seniors from our 3 schools! Don't miss out on this opportunity! We will have a presentation tomorrow, 1/5, during advisory for eligible students.

- $3,000 each year for 4 years (total of $12,000)
- 1:1 mentorship
- Internship & career readiness
Eligibility Requirements
- Plan to attend a four-year accredited university beginning Fall 2023
- Be a first generation college student
- Have a 2.8-3.8 cumulative GPA (unweighted)
- Documented financial need
- Be open to partner with a mentor for the duration of your undergraduate studies
