CAASPP Testing Grades 3-5 Begins Next Week
Welcome back from our weeklong break! As all students in Grades 3-5 begin with State Testing (CAASPP) for English Language Arts and Math (Gr.5 will also participate in Science and Physical Fitness Tests), please help ensure their success by supporting and reinforcing the below.
Before the test, please support them in:
- Getting enough sleep the night before
- Eating Breakfast
- Attending school daily and be on time (8:30 a.m.)
During the test, please remind them to:
- Not rush; it is not a timed test
- Read and reread the directions carefully
- Draft and show their work before entering responses
- Review your answers before moving on; they are unable to go back once an answer is submitted
- Use their test taking strategies they have been practicing
Testing Begins:
- Grade 5: April 24- May 19
- Grade 3 and 4: May 2- May 12
Sincerely,

Masks: No Longer Required Indoors
As of Monday, April 3, 2023, masks have no longer been required in our schools, but students and staff are welcome to wear a mask if it is their preference. We encourage families to take COVID-19 tests at home if they are feeling sick, and we ask students to stay home and follow the new COVID-19 isolation guidelines. We ask students and staff to consider wearing a mask during school if they are exhibiting symptoms of illness.
