Principal's Memo
September 18-22, 2023
A Message from Dr. Harris
Henderson Family,
We had a great week athletically speaking. We celebrated our athletes and academic teams at our spirit week and first pep rally of the year. Students who had no referrals or missing assignments were able to attend. Unfortunately, we were only able to celebrate with a quarter of our 7th graders and about 2/3 of our 6th graders. Parents, please help me by explaining to our Tigers that they should complete all assignments. If they are absent, it is the expectation that they are asking their teacher for the missing work upon their return to school. I appreciate your help with this matter.
Coke Fundraiser
Thank you so much for your support with our Coke Fundraiser. If you purchased drinks, you may begin picking up your purchases beginning today, September 18, after 12pm.
School Council
You are invited to become a member of the HMS School Council. It is a very short time commitment. We meet only 3-4 times per year for one hour. We usually meet from 11:30am-12:30pm during the school day. Lunch will be provided. This year, we are in the process of developing our new School Improvement Plan, and we would love your help in the process. If you are interested in being a part of the School Council, please email marlowee@bcssk12.org.
Open House II
Please see below for the Open House flyer. Come out and connect with your child's teachers now that school has begun.
