THE BRAIN POWER CLASSROOM
Brain Power: Where your mind goes, energy follows!
Brain Power strategies teach children that we get more of what we focus on.
When we embrace a positive attitude, limit unnecessary complaining, and adopt a calm and thoughtful demeanor, we position ourselves for greater success and happiness. This year Pine Run educators are teaching techniques that encourage a positive disposition, along with boosting brain functionality, increasing memory, and instilling patience.
Brain Power practices teach adaptability....a most necessary quality for learning.
Two of Mrs. Martin's fifth grade students asked to read The Brain Power Classroom!
The NED Show: Having a GROWTH MINDSET!
Thanks to our wonderful Home and School Association, we were able to host The NED Show at Pine Run Elementary.
NED stands for:
N - Never give up.
E - Encourage others.
D - Do your best.
Ned's message to our students was to think like a winner....with a Growth Mindset. Those with a Growth Mindset will try, even when trying is a bit scary. They take risks and aren't afraid of failure, because failure is a natural part of learning. Those with a Growth Mindset don't give up!
