Summer News
Hello Husky Families-
Beginning Monday, August 3rd our school office will be back open. We will be working to help families finish the registration process to ensure every student has a placement for remote learning to begin on August 24th. If you have any questions regarding registration please email hiawathareg@bsd100.org or call the school office 708-795-2327 and we would be happy to support you.
Just a reminder that the Board of Education approved District 100’s Return to School Road Map: Bringing BSD100 Back. I encourage you to click this link for more information on the plan.
On behalf of the staff of Hiawatha we want you to know how much we miss seeing our students and families. However we also recognize the need to keep everyone safe during this time. I know this may be challenging for some students and families and not be the most ideal plan for everyone. We remain hopeful with the district's thorough plan we will all safely progress to returning to in person instruction as the guidance allows.
Please reach out to Mr. Gonzalez and myself if you have any questions or concerns that we can help assist with. We are all in this together and we are happy to help. Continue to check your email, our website and Facebook page for more details to come regarding the start of remote learning.
Stay well!

Summer Reading Program
We’d like to invite all families to participate in our summer reading program during June, July, and August. Families can sign up by clicking on the link below and downloading the reading logs from our Summer Reading website. We encourage students to read around 30 minutes each day. Younger children can read on their own, with an adult, or listen to audiobooks. Students who fill out the reading log can submit it each month to summerreading@bsd100.org.
