Upper Skagit Writes
Get. Set. Write! Join us for Upper Skagit Writes, a self directed 30-day writing challenge. Beginning November 1, write every day for 30 days in any genre or writing style. The goal is to inspire creativity and engage people of all ages in the practice of daily writing and reflection. The types of writing include but are not limited to: short story, creative nonfiction, flash fiction, research writing, prose, poetry, journalism, journaling, graphic novels, fan fiction, comics, playwriting, letter writing, or anything else in between. Throughout the month participants will be encouraged to reflect on their writing and share their work during two events. All skill levels and ages invited. Winter Food & Book Drive
Give to your community this holiday season and make a difference in the lives of families. The library will host a Winter Food & Book Drive again this winter season. November 14 through December 15 the library will accept nonperishable non-expired food items and gently used children’s/teens books. Drop off items at the library during open hours. The items will be donated to the Concrete Food Bank and the Bread of Life Food Bank (Marblemount) in time for the Christmas holiday.
