ND Railroads



The first railroad was developed in Great Britain. George Stephenson successfully applied the steam technology. The first engines used in the United States were purchased from the Stephenson Works in England. The railroad was invented because when winter came there was no other way for transpertation. Colonal John Stevens is considered the father of railroads. In 1826 Stevens demonstrated the feasibility of steam locomotion.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Some advantages of railroads is that its a easy and cheap way to travel, and gets to your destination fast, and a way to get around in the winter in the early days.

Some disadvantages of railroads they are dangerous to ride in, they are not clean, they are not comfortable, and it wont take you to your exact destination.
