Bear Tracks
January 11, 2021 • Updates from Roosevelt Elementary

Mrs. Jenn Platt was recognized by our last week's recipient, Ms. Cassody Leadon, who wrote—
I would like to pass this honor to Mrs. Jenn Platt. She has been a huge blessing to me as a friend and coworker and has made a big impact on me in my time here at Roosevelt. Mrs. Platt was hired at Roosevelt during the same year that I was and made me feel so welcomed. Mrs. Platt has an overflowing love for our little Roosevelt bears that anyone can see if they work alongside her like I do. Mrs. Platt is always there to volunteer her help when needed, and she does it with no hesitation and with a smile on her face! Also, Mrs. Platt has taken on this new way of remote teaching head-on and has been a great resource when I need help with anything. She's a true gem and a treasure. You deserve it!
Congratulations to Mrs. Platt, and thank you for your service to all of our Roosevelt students, families, and staff!!

How can your child win the next Roosevelt WHEEL OF PIZZA? Students who turn in all of their work in Google Classroom each week earn a spot on a class spinner. On Friday, the teacher spins the spinner LIVE during a Google Meet and announces a winner. Then, Mrs. Mason and Mr. Alexander deliver the delicious pizzas for your family to enjoy!

First graders in Mrs. Emerson's class are studying the question "How do we measure time?" For a science lesson, first graders created sundials to explore how we can use the sun to tell time. Great job!
