PRINCIPAL AND VICE PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
As you may be aware, our incidences of COVID cases are starting to rise up again, both locally and nationally. While we haven’t had any changes to any of our school operations as of yet, we still want to encourage you to be diligent in your efforts of monitoring your student and their health.
Students who are experiencing two primary COVID symptoms, which include, cough, fever of 100.4 or higher, chills, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, or recent loss of taste or smell should be kept home. Also watch for non-primary symptoms, such as tiredness, muscle or body aches, headaches, sore throat, congestion, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, which can be related to many illnesses, including COVID.
We’d like to share an appreciation for families who are communicating with us about their students positive COVID cases, confirmed by testing. It helps us keep track of our numbers and will keep us ahead of any potential class outbreaks.
When we do find out about a positive COVID case at our school, we post a notification letter in Parent Square. These messages do not send a notification, but they can be found in your news feed once you log into Parent Square.
Our primary goal is to keep our school open for the rest of the school year, and to avoid having classes transition to remote learning. To help us with this goal, you may consider asking your students to wear masks in school. Currently, about 50% of our student population are still wearing masks. This is just a suggestion, and not a requirement. Should things change again, be on the lookout for information coming either from us or he district.
We again thank all of you for your continued determination and diligence in helping keep our student safe and in school for the rest of the year.
Janet Maza and Jim Hiller

SRTS Parent Survey
Beaverton Safe Routes to School Parent Surveys
It’s data collection time again for Beaverton’s Safe Routes to School program. The purpose of this program is to make walking and biking to school safe, convenient, and fun.
Parent’s and guardian’s input into how students travel to and from schools and their impression of the safety of the route is valuable as the city and county prioritize needed improvements for our roads.
The following links will take you to a district survey and will be combined with classroom tallies to give us a good picture of how students are getting to and from schools throughout the district.
The district survey will be open for responses for four weeks from May 1st until May 31st.
We appreciate your help in giving us information to make the Safe Routes to School program effective for all Beaverton School District students.
