Vision, Hearing, and Acanthosis Screenings

Annual vision, hearing, and acanthosis screenings will begin the week of September 10-13th, 2018 for all KG, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students. A referral letter will be sent home only if a problem is identified during the screening. Please remind your student to wear their glasses to school during this week. If you have any questions regarding the screenings, please contact Nurse Thorpe or visit: www.dshs.state.tx.us/vhs

Counselor's Corner

This week has been Amazing! Fourth grade kick started our first set of guidance lessons with “Introduction to Counseling Services”. Students had a blast while learning about services offered within the counseling department and applying knowledge with a “Pin the Role on the Counselor” game. They were instructed on how and when to access the school counselor to help support their needs as learners and individuals. I also want to make you, as parents, aware that you can also refer your child for school counseling services as you see a need. Your child may need support in the areas of academics, social, or emotional help. Remember, YOU are the first advocates for our growing leaders. Thank you so much for your continued support!
