A Message from Mrs. Caudill

Dear Bobcat Families,

This week I was able to get into every classroom and read a book. The book I read is titled, When Pencil Met Eraser. This simple picture book has a big message. In each class we discussed how we are better when we work together and each of us are a member of a team. We have classroom teams like Team Hartnett and Team Warum. But, we also are members of a larger team, Team Amerman. As members of a team, our job is to encourage and support each other. We also discussed how the book I read related to our school-wide theme, On Your Mark.. Get Set.. LEAD! Leaders use teamwork to work together, support those around them and preserve when times get tough.

I am so excited about our year ahead of us. Go team!!

Stay well,

Devon Caudill

Student Account Password Maintenance

On Monday, September 6th (Labor Day), our ED Tech department initiated password maintenance of student accounts as follows:

  • Students in grades K - 8 only will have a new password generated..

  • 9th graders will use the same password from 8th grade. These will not be reset.

  • Grades 10 -12 will be managing their own passwords so those are not reset at this time.

A separate communication was sent out to families to inform them about the maintenance.

We have been tweaking our Loop Dismissal procedures and would like to give a shout out to all our Amerman Bobcats and their families who successfully transitioned to a new procedure this week.

Thanks to our families for their patience and flexibility as we continue to make improvements.

One way our families can help is to have your name card written boldly and displayed in an upright position until your child/ren are safely in your car. We need to know your name to call for students and to help our rotating teachers get the right student to the car.

Morning Loop Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed every morning to assist students with exiting their vehicles during drop-off in the Amerman loop. Volunteers are needed 8:30 until approximately 8:45 a.m. We'd love your help for 15 minutes each week to keep things running smoothly - especially if you regularly use the loop. Please join us!

If you are unable to commit to a regular time slot, please consider signing up to be a back-up volunteer. Back-up volunteers (our "subs") are needed to fill slots when regular volunteers are unable to work, and occasionally when we anticipate higher than usual traffic in the loop

Please sign up by using the link below!

COVID Safety and Mitigation Plans

As we come together in learning this year, it is important to remember to perform at-home self-monitoring using the COVID-19 Daily Student Symptom Screening Tool. This screener serves as a daily reminder that children who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 (or ANY illness) need to stay home from school. This is an important measure that will help prevent or reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our schools. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in using this screener each school day. In addition to the daily screener students and staff are required to wear masks while indoors.

The NPS 2021-22 COVID-19 General Mitigation Response Plan outlines the multiple layers of COVID-19 safety measures being implemented across the district to support the health and safety of all students and staff. School principals will share specific building procedures with families. Processes are in place at each school to teach and/or reinforce safety measures with all students. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document answers additional questions you may have as you and your child are preparing for the start of the 2021-22 school year.

hot lunch program for interested students

Families must preorder lunches for preschools and elementary students. Orders must be in by 8:30 AM for elementary students to receive a lunch that day. The system will not allow you to order after the time listed above. For your convenience, meals can be preordered up to 30 days in advance. To avoid any issues, we recommend ordering the night before.
