Raise Your Hand - May 15 Last Day
Only one in three young people say they have the skills to handle what life throws their way. If we don’t give our kids the opportunity to succeed, we all fail.
That’s where 4-H comes in. 4-H programs meet youth and families where they live, serve community needs and build critical life skills kids need to thrive.
As a result, 4-H created the “Raise Your Hand” initiative - a nationwide call-to-action for 4-H alumni, supporters, and friends to vote for their state to win funding to help more kids in their communities benefit from 4-H hands-on learning programs.
The three states with the most hands raised will receive $20,000, $10,000 and
$5,000 to bring local 4-H programs to more kids.
Please join us and Raise Your Hand, because every child deserves a chance to succeed.

Healthier for you, Healthier for Earth
Interested in an eating pattern that benefits the planet?
Monday marked the 40th anniversary of Earth Day and gave us all the opportunity to reflect on how our choices impact our environment.
While food choices may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about being kind to mother Earth, they have an undeniable impact. Here are a few things to consider when deciding how your own eating pattern stacks up.
Ditch the Word 'diet' for Good
Bring up food, bodyweight, health or a host of other nutrition-related topics at your next gathering, and you’re bound to hear (or say) the word diet at least once, probably more.
What thoughts and feelings does this four-letter word bring with it?
