Showcase Night Was a Huge Success
Student Council Fire Truck Raffle - It's Not Too Late to Buy Raffle Tickets!
Do You Want to Ride to School on a Fire Truck? The student council will sell raffle tickets again at the Kindergarten Showcase Night or you can order tickets using the form below.
- Single raffle tickets are $2 each or you can buy 3 raffle tickets for $5
- This winner will receive a certificate that allows up to 3 students and one additional adult to ride a fire engine to school
- All proceeds will benefit the Wilmot Student Council
If you missed the raffle during our 1st-5th grade Showcase Night you can order raffle tickets using the form linked below. Please return all forms by Thursday, May 4.
We will pull the winning ticket on Wednesday, May 10.
2023-2024 school supply kits are now on sale
- This is for students attending Wilmot next year
- The sale runs until June 1. No late orders will be accepted
- Make sure you update your account with the 2023-2024 grade for your child
- 4th & 5th grade parents must purchase a Wilmot planner even if they do not purchase a school supply kit
- If your student needs new headphones, you must add those a la carte. Only Kindergarten kits include headphones.

What to do if your child is not returning to Wilmot next year?
If you have a current K-4th grade student who is not returning to Wilmot next year, please complete this form as soon as possible. This information not only supports us with making class placements but knowing your child is moving allows us to prepare for your child's transition. Prior to your child's last day at Wilmot, we will prepare all records for transfer. As a reminder, our school office will not be open during the summer months. Please complete this form even if your child is transferring to another DPS109 school.
Dental forms for all Kindy and 2nd-grade students are due by May 15 (2nd posting)
Dental forms for all Kindy and 2nd-grade students are due by May 15, 2023. Exams must have been performed within 18 months of the May 15th deadline. Please submit completed forms to Mrs. Martínez, RN at mmartinez@dps109.org. If you have any questions or updates, please reach out and let her know.

Kindergarten Music Concert, Art Share and Showcase Night-UPDATED SCHEDULE
- The evening will begin at 5:35 pm
- Mrs. Wolff's class will meet in the LMC
- Mrs. Krawiec's class will meet in rooms 5 and 7
- Mrs. Epstein's class will meet in the back of the gym
- At 5:55 pm all families will transition to the gym for the music concert
- The concert will start at 6:00 pm
Celebrating Our Outgoing Board Members
We invite everyone in the DPS 109 community to join us for a special celebration of the years of service for outgoing Board of Education members Nicholas Begley and Kenneth J. Ashman. Please join us for a brief ceremony honoring them on Wednesday, May 3rd at 6:15 p.m. at the District Center.
Upcoming DPS109 Parent/Guardian Workshop: “Understanding Children’s Hardest Moments”
We are excited for the next session of our Spring DPS109 Parent/Guardian Workshop Series on Thursday, May 4th at 7:00 pm: (Zoom link). This session: “Understanding Children’s Hardest Moments” will focus on the following topics:
Seeing challenging behavior through the lens of emotional regulation.
Seeing mis-behavior as stress-behavior
Helping children develop self-regulation skills
Every hard moment is a teaching opportunity
Additional topics for the subsequent events will include:
The Basics of Childhood Resilience (5/11)
Collaborative Problem Solving (5/18)

Kindergarten and New to Wilmot 1st -5th Grade Registration For 2023-2024 is Now Open! (ongoing posting)
If you have an incoming kindergartener (or a new to Wilmot 1st-5th grader) for the 2023-2024 school year it is important that you complete the registration process as soon as possible. The first step is to complete the online application. Click here to access the online forms. Please share this information with friends and neighbors. It is important that all incoming students register as soon as possible as our staffing decisions are based on the number of fully registered students.
Please note that only those students who are fully registered will receive an invitation for our spring Kindergarten Round-Up.
If you missed the district-wide drop-in kindergarten registration please complete the online registration packet. You will be able to set a time to drop off the required documents at the district office.
