LPHS Parent Newsletter

April 2021

Dear Slicer Families,

Thank you for helping to make health and safety a priority at LPHS. We are encouraged that our efforts with social distancing and PPE requirements have contributed to four consecutive weeks in blue programming. However, we must continue to wear our masks and follow our protocols at school. Your support is appreciated.

April is another busy month at LPHS. This month's issue includes: cap and gown information for seniors, information on our National Honor Society ceremony, a Job Fair for our seniors on April 22nd, our programming options for the 2021-22 school year, a Prom date and time, testing updates, Science Olympiad results, a Red Cross Blood Drive and much more!

Next week is Spring Break and Easter. Please have a restful and safe holiday and we are looking forward to seeing our students again on Monday, April 12th.

Once A Slicer, Always A Slicer!

Mr. Alber, Principal

Brayden Sobecki wins 2nd place at FFA event!

Brayden competed at District 1 Leadership Development Contest on Saturday March 13 at South Newton High School. He finished 2nd place in the Creed Speaking Contest. This contest is only open to freshmen FFA members, and it is an opportunity for freshman not only to recite the FFA creed but to understand and explain its meaning and significance. The future of agriculture is looking bright with freshmen leaders like Brayden! Great job!

We do have copies of the recommended books for AP Language and AP Seminar that we can lend to students, but those are limited. Copies are also available at the public library. Students don't necessarily need to buy a copy, but that's also an option.
