Principal's message - week 43
Greetings North Plains Families!
Well the nice weather has finally arrived! I hope you have been able to get out and enjoy the sun.
Last night's Spring Showcase was fantastic! The kids did such a great job. Thank you to Mr. Janssen for all of his hard work to make this a great event! Thank you also to Teri Lenahan for coming to hand out science fair project awards and to Ms. Daniels for organizing the science fair! See below for a few pics:)

I'm SO sorry, but talent show auditions will have to move to Thursday, May 31. I have made announcements to inform students, but you will still need to make sure they have a way home.
The carnival is approaching quickly and we need your help! Volunteers will receive 20 free tickets per hour of volunteer time! June 2 from 12-3, come out and enjoy all kinds of activities, including a dunk tank to dunk the teachers! Please don't forget our parent information night regarding our new Social Learning Center. Tuesday, May 29 at 6PM I'll be here with our new teacher to talk about what this will look like and answer any questions that you have!

The Science Fair is coming May 24. Students will have projects on display in the library during the Spring Showcase. Projects will be judged prior to the evening event and winners will be announced within the musical performance. All students are encouraged to participate. Projects will be completed outside of school hours, but there will be two after school workshops, May 7 and 14 where students can get some support. Project boards are available for those who need them. State testing will be coming up before we know it, and there are always questions around what happens and why.
