Judith Thompson - is home recovering from surgery.
Sharon Compton - is doing well recovering from surgery. She will begin chemotherapy soon.
5 STAR SALUTES (Shout Outs)
Sherri Kaiser - for leading the winners of the Perennial Math competition to victory on Saturday. Way to go Mrs. Kaiser!
Mother/Son Dance - thank you to everyone who helped set up and clean up for the dance on Friday. The dance was a huge success because of your hard work. Special thanks to the following: Bridges, DeRoux, T. Allen, Andrade, Coddens, Mr. Bradley, Walker and son, VanHolten, A Team, All Pro Dads, Mrs. Moore, Rhodes, the Bradley kids, Ashley's son, Lauren...I hope I didn't miss anyone.
If you have any shout outs to share, please send them to me by Friday of each week.
GMAS TESTING PREPARATION
- Make sure that you keep the chargers with every computer.
- If you share computers with another teacher, make sure those are returned to your classrooms at the end of each day.
- Please CLOSELY monitor students in the computer labs! We do not want students picking off the keys or causing damage to computers in any way.
QUALITY PLUS TEACHING STRATEGY HIGHLIGHT
This week’s QPTS highlight demonstrates how problem solving engages students with the AKS through a relevant problem or challenge in order to develop knowledge and skills and to deepen understanding and application in familiar and unfamiliar contexts. If you are going to be out make sure you enter your personal or sick leave in the system and request a sub right away.
- If you have an emergency, make sure it is entered within three days.
- When you have a GCPS training of any kind please use In-service/Staff Development as the absence name and staff development as the reason.
- Subs are paid for 4 or 8 hours. If taking a 1/2 day, please make sure you return to your position before the time expires.
Your leave needs to be entered right away as this affects how the sub is paid.
