Principal's Message
Good luck to our basketball teams who are going to GYACs this weekend. We had a pep-really with the school on Thursday which was great to see all of our younger students cheering on our junior highs and aspiring to be like them when it is their turn.
A special thank you to Jayla, Myla, and Serena who organized, planned, and setup for the Jr. High dance. They did an incredible job making sure everything was ready, they even stayed later to help clean everything up. It was truly a wonderful example of leadership and kindness! Everyone there had a great time dancing and eating pizza! Thank you to NCFS for donating the food!
A reminder that registration is open for all students and we have an open house for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten on Thursday, February 29 from 1:30 - 3:30.
The assurance surveys which were mailed out to parents with a child in grade four and up close on March 1. At this point, only 13 parents have completed the survey. I encourage you to complete the survey as we use this data to help guide our work as a school.
Thank you to Tymchuk Farms who sponsored our hot lunch this week so that our students could have free corn dogs!
Wednesday, February 28 is Pink Shirt Day, be sure to wear pink! Friday is a Professional Development Day for staff, meaning there is no school for students. Staff will be learning about different math programs and strategies that can implement in the classroom.
Have a wonderful week,
Bailey Benson

Learning in Action
Creating with Clay
Our 2/3 class with the guidance of Mrs. DeLeuuw worked to create different sculptures in art class this week! The students did a wonderful job using their imagination and sculpture skills!
Center Time!
Kindergarten and Grade 1 students were broken into small groups where they each worked on different materials like phonics, subtilizing numbers, spelling, and more! Students loved rotating through the different stations and all the variation in the learning tasks kept them motivated and engaged!
Clay Sculptures
The 6/7 and 8/9 art classes each had art lessons on clay sculture and strategies to create various objects. The students had an incredible time working with their hands and creating something new.
Look at All Those Instruments!
The K/1s explored different instruments this week and were excited to hear the unique sounds that they made as they played them.
Registration Open for the 2024-2025 School Year!
Athletics
This weekend, our basketball teams are headed to GYACs in Edson. We wish all our athletes good luck. We know they will represent our school well! A big thank you to our coaches Ms. Kennedy and Mr. Setzer for their time and commitment to our athletes over the season!
The Edson Mini Basketball organizers have changed their league format. They will no longer create teams or have tournaments, just practices. I will ask students if they are still interested and go from there.
