SEL - Bathroom Behaviors
During SEL time this week, we focused on making helpful choices everywhere we go!
Sometimes when we visit different places, they all have different rules. Even our home and school can have different rules. We know that we must follow the rules and make helpful choices everywhere we go to be safe!
When we show we can follow rules and be safe we are showing that we can respect others and the places around us.
Weekly Reading Focus
We have officially learned every letter in the alphabet! Next semester we will keep practicing those sounds and letters but also learn new spelling patterns like digraphs, magic e for long vowel sounds, and syllables. I am so proud of all their hard work in reading!
CVC Words & Sentence Dictation
This week we wrote these words:
- zig
- zap
- zip
- quit
- quat
- quig
- quiz
- zat
- zag
This week we wrote these sentences:
1. He got a zit
2. The quiz was fun.
3. He has to zig and zag to the quiz.
When working on our sentence dictation, we know that sentences start with a capital letter at the beginning, the rest of the letters are lowercase unless it is a name, there are finger spaces between different words, a sentence completes an idea, and ends with punctuation.
