Problems in the Colony
There were many problems in the colony. One problem was the soil was extremley rocky and thin and the winters were very long. The problem with this it was very hard for the colonist to farm. This lead to many deaths and starvation during the winter months. Another problem that colonist faced which mainly happened in Massachusetts was the Witch Trials which happened in Salem Massachusetts. This was when people were accusing others of witchcraft and having evil spirits. This lead to people becoming paranoid. When the people who were accused of witchcraft were on trial they were dunked under water and if the came up alive they were a "witch"and they would be hung. So most of the people who were accused of being a witch were killed. One more problem for the New England colonies were when they were attacked by the Natives. This happened because the Natives were very mad they europeans were on there land. When the indians attacked they would burn the crops which left the europeans with no food. This was a very serious problem for the colonist.
Famous Quote From the New England Colonies.
"[If] any man or woman be a witch (that is) hath or consulteth w[ith] a familiar spirit, they shall be put to death." This was said by the General Court of Connecticut . This quote had to do with the witch trials which mainly happened in Massachusetts.

Relationship with the Natives
The relationships with the natives varied throughout the colonies and throughout the years. For Example around 1636 and 1637 a few wars broke out in Connecticut and Massachusetts due to the Europeans settling on the Indians Land. Also the Massachusetts Bay colony saw the slaves as inferior and thought they were not as good as them. However the Europeans in Plymouth started out having a great relationship with the natives. For example they traded with them and the Natives fought the Europeans to grow crops. This is how the First Thanksgiving started. As you can see in some colonies the relationship was bad but in others it was very good.
