All About Mrs.Davis
Where did you get your degree?
- Mrs. Davis got a bachelors degree of science in interdisciplinary studies at University of North Texas and a masters degree of literacy curriculum and instruction from University of Texas at Arlington
- Mrs. Davis teaches 3rd grade (all subjects)
- She has only taught the 3rd grade.
- She has been teaching for 5 years

What duties are associated with your job?
- PLC- Meetings and commitments when teachers come together and discuss student performances and how to use data to drive instruction
- PBIS-try to help students have a positive behavior while at school
- 6:00-6:30 Teacher arrives
7:45-9:25 Math instruction
9:25-10:25 conference period
10:25-11:45 Reading workshop and Social Studies
11:45-12:45 Lunch
12:45-2:45 writing workshop and science
2:45-3:00 Pack up
3:15 after school duty-car rides
3:15-4:00 grade papers, enter grades, answer emails and attend any meetings
How many hours worked a week?
- 50 hours
- Finding ways to accommodate each and every students needs because they all learn so differently but need to achieve the same curriculum. The state standards and testing doesn't match the students developmental ability so with so much to teach at a deep level it is difficult.
- Seeing students achieve something after working so hard for it.

- Make sure it is something you are really passionate about, its not just about liking kids.
