Eagle's Nest
The official e-newsletter of Corona Elementary
August 10, 2020. Principal's Message
Welcome to our new digital newsletter as we start the 2020-2021 school year of Online Learning. As your proud principal I would like you to know that we are truly dedicated to maximizing all of our students’ learning opportunities under this virtual environment. Our teachers and support staff have been working tireless to prepare for the challenges that will come with trying to engage students and families at a distance. Learning to deliver high quality instruction in this new environment is a priority but rest assured that we know that we all learn best from people we trust and can form a safe, supportive relationship with. In the first few days of school, you will learn alongside of your children so that together we conquer any challenges that come our way. We look forward to serving you in every capacity possible to ensure a successful school year!

Parent/Proctor/School Site Council President
"My name is Edna Carrillo, I am the oldest of three daughters and when I was small I attended Murchison St. Elementary (in Los Angeles, CA).
I have two daughters, my oldest is 14 years old and my youngest is 9, both my daughters have attended Corona Elementary and I started volunteering at Corona when my oldest started Kinder here. After a few years of volunteering I was offered a job here. Back then we were called noon aides. I like that we are a small school and we have the opportunity to make a difference in our students' lives. I would advise parents to always have an open line of communication with their teachers to help our students grow. I volunteer because I want to make a difference in my community and in the lives of our future generations. I really enjoy volunteering at our school. On my free time I like to read. I like going to Dodger games with my family. One of my favorite basketball teams are the Lakers. This summer I would have traveled to Mexico to visit my family, but due to COVID-19 that was not possible."
