Winds are caused by unequal heating of the different atmospheric pressure. This means when a different atmospheric pressure exist.

Local winds travel in small areas. They change directions and speed very. You can always feel them on the ground

Global winds are created by the cause by the uneven heating of Earth's surface, which sets convection currents in motion.
