Bright Star Behavior ~ COURAGE
We introduced our character trait for April, CITIZENSHIP, by defining the trait. A student who shows citizenship follows school and community rules, volunteers, and helps others in the school and community.
Thank you, Mayor Swain!
Special thanks to Mayor Swain for visiting our Kindergarten classes on Wednesday. She read the book She Persisted to the classes. It was a great way to celebrate the end of National Women's Month and make connections to our Social Studies curriculum.
Pennies for Patients
Join the Hero Squad. Together We Change Cancer.
On Tuesday, a representative from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) visited Lyncrest School to kick off our Pennies for Patients Program. LLS is the world’s largest non-profit health organization dedicated to finding cures for blood cancers. The Pennies for Patients program is for elementary and middle schools that would like to support the mission to create a world without cancer by conducting a fundraising campaign. Student Council members will be collecting coins from the homeroom classes as we raise money for this very deserving cause.
COINS WILL BE COLLECTED ON 4/20 AND 5/4.
