EVENTS HELD AT BOEHM
OCTOBER BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
Pink, pajamas, and proud participation! Boehm's student council gathered together in support of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise funds and support through two spirit day events. Boehm students wore head-to-toe pink for our "Pink Out" on October 24th and hosted a "Pajama Day" on October 26th. Over $700 were raised to donate to "The Healing Consciousness Foundation." Students also came together to design and write "Get Well Soon" cards to send to patients. Student Council president, Katelyn Baik, said "I loved the spirit days we had! It was cool to see the school come together for a cause. The cards said things like "'Stay Strong' and "We believe in you!' I really hope that helps someone."

Red Paw Emergency Relief Team
Red Paw Emergency Relief Team visited our sixth grade students on Friday October 26th to share messages about fire safety.
Red Paw is the only nonprofit organization in the country that works with public and private relief organizations to provide emergency assistance to animals involved in fires and residential disasters. Firefighter, Jen Leary, and C.O.O, Lori Albright, were here to remind students of the importance of having a fire escape plan. To get our students in the mood for a yearly community service challenge, we kicked off a fundraiser with a push up contest. Students then watched a slideshow presentation that reminded students of the need to check smoke alarms and have a fire-safety escape plan. To support this good cause, our students will follow up with a pretzel sale. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Red Paw as a way to encourage our students to support their community organizations.
