Work Based Learning Update at WHS
Also starting this fall, WHS will expand it's WBL program by providing for a greater number of students to receive credit for work experience during and outside of the school day. Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to explore career options no matter what path they take after graduation. Students who enter two or four year colleges, trade schools, the work force, or the military will all have a better understanding of their career options when they leave Webutuck High School.
Prom Safety Tips For Parents and Caregivers
Know the Plan
Ask your child the following questions and make sure you both you and your child know the answers:
- What time does the prom begin and end?
- Is your teenager going to dinner before or is there dinner at the prom?
- Is your child meeting other friends?
- Is your child attending an after-prom activity, and who are the adults who will be supervising?
- How will your teenager be getting to and from the prom and after prom activities?
- Who is driving? Do you know the drivers? Are there designated drivers in case there is alcohol present at after-prom activities?
Knuschke's "Korner"
Webutuck High School has so many good things going on that it's difficult to keep up! Fortunately, Daniel Pietrafesa of Dutchess BOCES, writes the articles and provides the updates for our webpage. Recently, Daniel created a post on Morgan Sprague and Jordyn Thorne who are the valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the Class of 2023 at Webutuck High School. Congratulations to Morgan and Jordyn!
Please check out the WHS and Webutuck District webpages for updates on what our amazing students and staff are doing.
