Community Leadership Breakfast

Friday morning, Strongsville Middle School held a Leadership Breakfast for 7th and 8th grade students. The students were selected to participate by their teachers and SMS administration. Local business leaders shared their experiences and advice on building leadership skills with the students. The keynote speaker was Dr. Regina Pestak, Director of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic (Fairview Hospital), and proud parent of children in our District. THANK YOU to all of the business professionals who made positive connections with our students this morning! We are so proud of our students- they embraced the opportunity and did such a great job representing themselves and our middle school.

November 8th- No School

November 8th is a staff professional development day where students do not attend school. This is a non-school day for all students. This means that there will be no work that is required to be completed at home on this day. We encourage students to make-up missing work, study for an upcoming test, work on a project, get organized, and/or practice their academic skills through various resources, but there will not be any required work and therefore there will be no graded work from this day.

Bone Bridge STEM Challenge.

The 7th Grade Science Department partnered with Makerspace for a STEM challenge. The students had to create the longest bridge that stood at least 3 cm tall and at least 3 cm wide.

Congratulations to our winners!

SHOUT OUTS of the WEEK!
