Something to Howl About

Myers-Wilkins Family Summer Update

Fond Farewell

I hope you are having a wonderful summer and enjoying some of the warmth we have been longing for all spring.

This is my final message to you as the Myers-Wilkins principal. My family and I are moving out of Duluth this week and as I told the students on the last day of school, I would stay forever if I did not have a two hour commute.

The last week of school was wonderful and sad all at once. I care about the success and happiness of your children and will miss them terribly. I hope that my four years at Myers-Wilkins Elementary have been what you hoped for from a school and its leader.

A new principal will be named soon. Watch for details.

Dane is in the office once a week to check messages. Please call and leave a voicemail if you have any address changes, kindergarten students to enroll, or need to update us about your own changes for the fall.

It has been a privilege to work with students and staff at Myers-Wilkins. I will always look back and reflect on this time as the best years of my career.

I wish you and your family all the best in the future,

Principal Worden

Myers-Wilkins Elementary

We encourage each family to be actively involved in their child’s education. Support comes in many ways. Families and caregivers can become active with our family advisory group, volunteer in the classroom once or twice a month, or simply designate a special time each night to talk about your child’s day and spend 15 minutes reading together. Our Wednesday folders are a great tool for school and home connections.

I believe we do our work best when communication is open and frequent. Please reach out to me should you have any questions about our programs and opportunities at Myers-Wilkins Elementary School. We are glad you are here!
