This week's Math focus
One week left of strong instruction before the Second Six Weeks Common Assessment. We are starting the 4th week. We will continue to focus on Aggressive Monitoring Laps and Instructional Delivery. Each mathematics classroom should have a focus on mathematical tasks. This will help to allow students an opportunity to engage and problem solve in their mathematics classrooms. This six weeks our students will focus on Multiplication and Division for the 2nd Six Weeks in Grades 3 - 5. As we walk the Math Classrooms this week, we will be looking for:
-Authentic Student Work (Mathematical Tasks)
-Students are allowed time for Mathematical Discourse
-Teacher is creating Anchor Charts with the students
-Teachers have a strong sense of content knowledge (Division Rules that Expire and Multiplication Rules)
