SFJHS Word of the Week
This week's word is interesting because it has both a positive and negative connotation. To fabricate is to create or invent. In that sense, it can be positive. But there is also a shade of meaning that means to make up or to lie. Not so great.
There are other forms of the word to explore as well--refabricate, prefabricate, and fabrication. And one form just for the quilters among us: FABRIC!!!!!!
Have fun with this one!
Here's the link to every "Word of the Week" for 2nd semester. Enjoy!
Intramurals
Our Intramural Pickleball Rematch tournament started on Tuesday, and the competition will last just over a week. Make sure to check the brackets (posted down in the gyms) to know when you play. Eat lunch quickly and then go play!
Congratulations SFHS Wrestling and Coach Nowell!
Some of you heard the celebration Saturday night as the firetrucks paraded our new state champions down Main Street. Congratulations to all our 9th grade Lobos who wrestled their freshman year with the Dons! Our Spanish Fork Dons won the 5A state title inching out over Box Elder. Our Taegan Leavitt took 2nd and our Connor Simons took 3rd at 106. Coach Kip Spencer earned Coach of the Year. And listen to this: Our very own Coach Nowell won the prestigious Darol Henrie Award as a Utah Hall of Fame Wrestling Referee. What an accomplishment and honor!!

Your students will learn and have a lot of fun as they experience the interactive and interesting activities provided by members of various STEM-related clubs at BYU!
Students should pre-register (for free) for the event by February 6th, and they will receive a free t-shirt for doing so. T-shirts will be limited to the first 500 students who pre-register. Here is the link to give the students and their parents for pre-registering.
