Graduating Senior news
Seniors and Parents of Seniors.
I have important information for you here.
First, below is a document of important dates that are coming up. Please print this off and put it in a safe place.
Second, Graduation will be at Liberty on Saturday, May 26 at 1pm. We have a beautiful commons space and if families are interested we are offering one table per senior for a brief reception after graduation. Feel free to bring cake and decorations for your table. Some families choose to have receptions at home and we don't want to take away from your special event. We simply wanted to offer our space as well. Please contact Marcy at wardenburg.marcy@iowacityschools.org to reserve your table.
Third, the Liberty Counseling page is under construction. It will have graduation information there as well. I'm going to include the link now for seniors to book mark. It isn't ready yet, but it will be soon, so please check back frequently for updates. https://www.iowacityschools.org/domain/2598
Finally, Seniors we need you to visit the main office and talk to Marcy so that we get your name PRONUNCIATION card correct for Graduation.
Thank you Seniors

Performing Arts news
The last week and a half has been fun in our performing arts department.
Last Tuesday we hosted the 7th and 8th grade orchestra students from North Central to join the Liberty Orchestra for a concert.
We did the exact same thing with North Central bands and the Liberty band last Thursday.
Vocal Music ran a fun event last Saturday night with jazz choirs and show choirs. Additionally, Voltage, one of our Jazz choirs won a competition in Solon (trophy photo attached) and has qualified for the State Jazz Choir Competition later this year. If you'd like to see Voltage in action please hit the Youtube link

PSTO and the Liberty Fund
An offshoot of the PSTO is the LIBERTY FUND. The goal of this organization is to commit to COLLECTIVE FUNDRAISING for under-funded clubs and organizations like National Honor Society. We hope to champion some LIBERTY PRIDE as part of this process. We'd love more parent volunteers on our team. If you are interested in more information email me at kibby.scott@iowacityschools.org
Finally, it is our hope that the Liberty Fund turns into an endowment.
