Sea King Weekly Review
Week #31 April 14-17
Technology Distribution Plan
Laptop distribution for grades 2-6 will be at the following appointment times. Parents do not need to register online for a laptop, but parent and child will need to sign a consent form in order check out a laptop from Ericson. Students that already have an LCD tablet will not need to return it and they may check out a laptop. After laptops are distributed, we will continue distribution of tablets for PK-1 students. PK-1 parents will need to register online in order to pick up their device.
Laptop Device Agreement-
Fresno Unified is providing students with devices to use in class and at home for school-related work. By signing the consent form, I acknowledge receipt of the device, and agree to the following:
Parent Responsibilities: • Supervise your student’s use of the device while off campus. • Return the device if requested or your student withdraws or graduates from Fresno Unified. • You may be responsible for repair or replacement costs in situations involving negligence.
Student Responsibilities: • Each school day, bring the device to school, charged and ready for use, and bring the device home after school.* • Abide by the District’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) which can be found at go.fresnou.org/aup. • Understand that you are responsible for the use and care of your device, and that district labels on the device should not be altered.
*For students in 1st grade and younger, teachers will determine device expectations.
Teachers in grades 2 through 6 please call all students in your class and remind them of their appointment times. As you are calling parents to make appointments for device pick up, make sure you are leaving a phone number where parents can return the call. Our office staff will be taking calls at 253-6450 from 9:00-12:00 starting April 14th.DO NOT LEAVE THE COVID 19 Hotline as the number to call.
Teachers in grades PK/TK/K and 1st Grade continue to call families and check online to see that your parents have registered for a LCD Tablet. If they have not this will delay an appointment being set up for them to pick up their child’s device. See example-In ATLAS look under Portal Access and if you can see that a parent has created a personal account, they will get an appointment. Janet and Melissa will be setting up appointments.

2019-20 Certificated and Classified Evaluations
Certificated Evaluations:
The fall 2019 FORMATIVE EVALUATION rating will be the final 19/20 evaluation rating for teachers on an eval cycle in 19/20. There is nothing further to be completed in iA.
- If the teacher had a GE or NMS rating at fall 2019 Formative they will need to have a TDP for 20/21. You can draft that with them when they return in the fall.
- NMS teachers will need to continue with an evaluation cycle for 20/21.
- For teachers who were GE at Formative, the evaluation plan in 20/21 is a choice point for the principal.
Classified Evaluations:
19/20 evaluations in iA will be completed for classified employees on an evaluation cycle and have an evaluation plan in iA.
- The due dates remain the same; the last day of their 19/20 duty year, or June 30, whichever comes first.
- Conferences will be via phone, skype, Zoom, or Teams
