The 2023 School Report Card was published on OCTOBER 30th and Hofer has been designated as EXEMPLARY SCHOOL!!
KINDLY CONSIDER NOMINATING ONE OF OUR TEACHERS FOR THE 2024 JOLIET AREA GREAT TEACHER AWARD!
The Joliet Chamber is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Joliet Area Great Teacher Award. Nominees must be certified, highly effective full-time teachers in grades pre-K through 12 in the public and private schools of the Joliet area. All nominees must have completed a minimum of three years teaching experience in Joliet area schools. Completed nomination forms must be received by 4pm on Monday, November 13, 2023.

This is a friendly reminder to parents that our school day starts at 8:35am. This means children should be in their classrooms as many teachers are beginning their important work with students at 8:35am. If you are dropping your child off, please be cognizant that staff must return into the building at 8:35am as their work with students starts at that time. If your child(ren) are exiting the car after 8:35am, we kindly request that you come in to sign them in. We appreciate your partnership in setting your children up for a successful day of learning at Troy Hofer from the very start of their day!

Celebrate Illinois Family Reading Night
Celebrate Illinois Family Reading Night with a virtual pajama party, read aloud, and author visit! Grab some hot cocoa, put on your pajamas, and join us on Google Meets to enjoy stories before bed. Stories will be available in both English and Spanish. A virtual meeting link will be share d with Troy30- C families via ParentSquare on 11/15. Books will be available to order after the reading night.

63% of HOFER STUDENTS were recognized for EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE in OCTOBER!
OUR GOAL FOR AN OVERALL IMPROVEMENT PERCENTAGE FOR NOVEMBER IS 78%!

HOFER HOME for the HOLIDAYS 2023
Dear Hofer Families,
On Wednesday, December 6th we cordially invite you to our annual “Hofer Home for the Holidays” from 4:00-8:00pm! Come and join us for an evening of singing, book readings, literature, sweet treats and celebration of our school family! The doors open at 4:00pm for Christmas shopping as we will have a Scholastic Book Fair for your convenience. We will also be selling holiday cookies, our famous HO HO HO HOFER Hot Cocoa and TCBY frozen yogurt in some yummy holiday flavors (presale form went home). We will also have a surprise guest dressed in RED here from 4:00-6:00 pm!! You can have a picture taken with him for a cost of $4!

SPLAT the CAT reminded us that IT IS COOL TO BE AT SCHOOL!
It was joyful to spend time with all of the K-4th grade levels at lunch time to discuss the importance of being at school and being on time. We watched a book on video of SPLAT the CAT who reminded the kids of the value of being PRESENT. Your child(ren) brought home an agreement as well as information regarding keeping track of attendance. This school year, we will continue to advocate for EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE where we celebrate each trimester and an overall yearlong 95% EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE!
