Mike McGowan is currently the Educational Solution Specialist for SMART Technologies. Prior to this position Mike was the Supervisor of Technology for Lincoln Elementary School District 156 in Calumet City, IL. Mike also teaches for the University of St. Francis Education Department and REAL program teaching technology for Educators classes along with Technology courses for Connecting Link. Mike is part of New Dimension Media's advisory board consulting on an as needed basis. He was also the 2012 SMART SEE of the year and a SMART Certified Trainer. Mike has presented at schools and conferences around the state including, ICE, IETC, EITC, TechCom, ICE Chip, Summer Experience.

Nancy Norem Powell is a retired high school mathematics teacher who was instrumental in bringing the Bloomington High math and science departments, the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) and the NY Teachers Network to the Web in 1993. Her students, math projects, and publications have brought her recognition including the Presidential Award of Excellence for Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) and the Golden Apple. She was an author of the UCSMP Geometry 3rd Edition, and has written Create Activities for your SMART Board and Create Activities for your Promethean Board. (http://www.toolsforteachers.com/nancy-powell) She has dedicated her retirement to giving back to her profession - teaching pre-service teachers; giving math, SMART board, and technology workshops for teachers across the country; writing a math and technology blog (http://NAPmath.wordpress.com); and sharing her love of teaching and learning by creating/moderating 6 wikis for teachers including one for SMART boards (see below) and her newest wiki is full of resources for rookie mathematics teachers (http://GreenApples.wikispaces.com).
Session: Creating Engaging Lessons
Nadia Fiaz is a recent graduate from Illinois State University. While attending Illinois State she became SMART Board certified. Currently, she is a special education teacher at Jane Addams Middle School. She co-teaches 7th grade math as well as cross categorical math and a push-in resource class period. She utilizes SMART Notebook to strategically create clear and organized lessons. Every day she incorporates SMART Board into her lessons, which the students really seem to enjoy. She would love to share her knowledge on SMART Notebook and SMART Exchange to help fellow teachers use SMART Board in their classrooms.
Michelle Kedzierski is a classroom teacher with great passion for technology integration. Currently Michelle is teaching sixth grade language arts and social studies with 14 years of classroom experience. In addition to working with students, Michelle is a SMART Exemplary Educator and SMART Certified Trainer for Orland School District 135. In 2010, Michelle attended the SMART Exemplary Educator Summit in Calgary, Canada. Recently, she has been creating collaborative international lessons to broaden the classroom boundaries and incorporating edmodo to further support learning at home.
Cindy Adamson is a Teacher/Technology Coordinator at St. Dominic School. She has presented at several workshops and ICE Mini-Conferences on SmartBoard topics. She is a SMART Exemplary Educator, SMART Certified Trainer, Discovery Education STAR, and Discovery Education Learning Council Member.
