Livingston Public Schools and offices will have a partial day on Wednesday, November 23 and will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 24 and 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING: Nov. 22, 2022 (7:30PM)
The Livingston Board of Education will hold a public meeting tonight, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 7:30PM in the Central Office, 11 Foxcroft Drive.
Tonight's meeting will be held in a hybrid format during which participants will have the ability to ask questions and make comments either in person or via the webinar. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTION
Twenty-one Livingston High School (LHS) students were recently inducted into the Julius C. Bernstein Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) during a ceremony recognizing the students for demonstrating “excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.”

9TH GRADE CHESS CHAMPS
The LHS Chess Team just started its season and on Sunday, November 20, competed in the NJ Grade School Chess Championship. In this competition, which was attended by players from all across the state, the students are separated by grade and compete only with other students at their grade level. The LHS 9th grade players finished in first place. In addition, three students won individual trophies, including Aston Roberts (1st overall 9th grade player), Lev Koganov (2nd overall 9th grade player) and Alan Hu (3rd overall 11th grade player)! ELEMENTARY HAPPENINGS!
BURNET HILL Kindergartners at Burnet Hill recently participated in apple tasting day. They tasted red, yellow, and green apples and graphed their favorite kind. Red was the most popular! | HILLSIDE Stephen Cerra, a motivational speaker and BMX expert, recently visited Hillside to entertain students while conveying important topics about goal-setting and perseverance! | MT. PLEASANT The poems of several Mt. Pleasant Elementary students were published in the Young Writers Poetry Anthology, This Is Me. |

HARRISON Harrison hosted its second annual fundraising Trunk or Treat with over 30 cars participating, including the Livingston Police and Fire Departments! | COLLINS At Collins, indergartners and their fifth grade “Buddies” painted pumpkins! | RIKER HILL At Riker Hill, kindergarteners and their “Fifth Grade Buddies” spent a sunny fall day at the pumpkin patch. |

INSTANT DECISION DAY AT LHS!
The LHS School Counseling department recently hosted Instant Decision Day during which college admissions counselors meet individually with students to discuss their applications and interest in attending their respective schools. Many universities attended the event, and participating students received same day decisions!
