Parents/Students

- Online Registration (for all students)
- Transportation Form (for EES students ONLY)
- Mandatory Orientation Attendance (for SMS and WHS students).
If you are unsure what your student has left to do, please contact your site secretary and they can let you know.
**ALL PARTS OF REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER FOR STUDENTS TO HAVE CONTINUED ACCESS TO THEIR LAPTOPS. LAPTOP ACCESS WILL BE DE-ACTIVATED THIS WEEK IF THESE ITEMS ARE NOT TAKEN CARE OF.

Testing Information
Free Practice PSAT and SAT!
PSAT
10th and 11th graders who would like to take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 16 there is a sign-up sheet in the office.
The cost is $17 (make a check out to WHS) or free for low income eligible 11th grade students. Testing will begin at 8:45 am.
If you are signed up for this test, please make your payment to the WHS office prior to Oct. 16. Checks can be made out to WHS.

SAT
12th graders who would like to take the SAT on Wednesday, October 16 there is a sign-up sheet in the office.
The cost is $49.50, or $64.50 (with essay). If you are signed up for this test, please make your payment prior to October 16 in the WHS office. Checks can be made out to WHS. The cost is $8 or $15 (with essay) for low income eligible students. Testing will begin at 8:45 am.
ACT
If you need to take the ACT please get in contact with Ms. Meister at omeister@wpsd.us. October 26 is the upcoming ACT Date.

Wrangell School District Announcements
School Board Meeting
In order to establish a quorum, the Regular Meeting of the Wrangell Public School Board scheduled for September 16 will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019, in Evergreen Elementary School Room 101, beginning at 7:00 PM.
A work session to review the PEAKS student assessment results will precede the meeting at 6:00 PM.
The agenda for the School Board Meeting will be available online four days prior to the meeting at https://www.boarddocs.com/ak/wrangell/Board.nsf.
The public is encouraged to attend.
Position Announcement
Wrangell Public Schools is accepting applications for the 2019-2020 School Year:
Indian Education Director: This is a part-time position coordinating and administering the Indian Education Program; preparing budgets, and proposals, and completing the bookkeeping required of the position. Applicant must have working knowledge of needs assessments and the evaluation process and must be able to work with the parent committee and school administration. The Position is paid on Column E of the Classified Salary Schedule.

Upward Bound Coordinator: This is a part-time position coordinating and administering the Upward Bound Program; preparing budgets, and proposals, and completing the bookkeeping required of the position. A bachelor’s degree is required.
The Position is paid on a contractual basis.
