Dear Hull Jackson Families,

We have hit that time of year and we are on the heels of Spring Break! As we prepare to move into the Spring months I want to continue to urge and remind you to have your children as school every day for a full day. If you have questions about your child's attendance please don't hesitate to reach out to the main office for clarifications.

Secondly, we are pushing strong for your child to do well on their End of Year Assessments. For our 3rd-5th graders, the TNReady Assessment will be given beginning April 19. Detailed information will be coming after break regarding this extremely important test. All of our remaining grades will be doing District assessments to see what amazing growth they have made as well as how to hit the ground running when we return in August. I know it can be challenging, however, please keep in mind, students must be able to show here at school in various formats that skills are mastered. A student may demonstrate at home due to comfort and assistance given...our environment is more challenging simply due to those two variables. Weekly students/classes are being celebrated for their achievement and growth in Attendance, Lexia, Ready, and skills assessments, classwork/homework, and behavior. Please encourage your child to do their best so student excellence shines!

Student clubs are up and rolling and the students are loving them. A huge shout out to all of our faculty and staff that are leading these. We look forward to seeing the outcomes and amazing things the kids are learning.

Please remember to check out the PTO information on Facebook and the fliers sent out to students...upcoming events will be Spring Fling and a Penny War...information will be coming soon on those.

April 18-29: TN Ready Testing for grades 3, 4 &5

* A student is considered tardy at 8:01.

* Please send your child to school in Hull-Jackson SSA. Navy pants/skirts and white or navy shirts are acceptable. 4th and 5th grade students may wear yellow shirts.

If your child is applying for a leadership position at Hull-Jackson, the last day to submit an application is Thursday, March 10.
